Julia has committed her professional life to creating a sustainable built environment through design engineering, operational management, sustainability planning, and sustainable real estate portfolio design. Julia has worked on behalf of owners, landlords and design teams to ensure that new and existing buildings and municipalities are designed and operated to enable a more sustainable future.

Previously, Julia was the Head of Operational Planning at Meta (formerly Facebook), setting strategy and goals to create a healthy and thriving real estate portfolio. Her work included developing budget, workforce, and sustainability processes and goals for the global team of 500 people overseeing over 170 offices in 80 countries. After earning her Master's degree in Environmental Planning and Engineering, she led the sustainable design and energy analysis teams for engineering firms supporting real estate owners, academic institutions, and public entities. As the President of CodeGreen, she oversees the teams working on decarbonization, ESG data management and compliance, and sustainable design for global, national, and local clients.

Sam Mason has 17 years of experience in sustainable building design, focusing on pragmatic low energy solutions for existing and new construction projects as a design engineer and energy analysis expert. Sam is the Director of Decarbonization and oversees CodeGreen’s Engineering and Commissioning Practices, working with clients to create and implement comprehensive decarbonization solutions. With extensive experience in construction, design engineering, and energy analysis on a wide range of commercial, residential, and industrial projects, his focus is on integrated design and cost-effective solutions to achieving energy efficiency. Sam assists clients through the design process utilizing energy analysis to incorporate energy efficiency into projects. As an expert in energy modeling and energy code compliance, Sam guides project teams through the retrofit and incentive process to provide design assistance and energy analysis for Local Law 87/Law Local 97 compliance, LEED, WELL, and other building certifications. He is also an expert in energy codes and energy code compliance and serves as a member on the ASHRAE 90.1 lighting and power subcommittee. Prior to Code Green, Sam was the Prinicpal and founder of Encompass Energy LLC for six years, working with architects, developers, and owners to utilize energy analysis as a design tool to improve existing building energy performance. Before founding Encompass, Sam worked for Atelier Ten in New York, London, and Doha in the environmental design, engineering, and construction teams, and for Smith and Andersen Footprint in Toronto, in their sustainable buildings practice.

Carolina Whitfield has over 20 years of experience as an expert in the sustainable buildings, circular economy, and environmental industry. Carolina is the Director of Sustainability Strategy for CodeGreen’s Florida Office, in this role, Carolina manages the business and sustainability strategy aspects of the New Construction Florida division for CodeGreen in addition to providing high level sustainability advise to owners and design teams on world-class projects. Carolina is the top liaison between CodeGreen and new and existing businesses within the Southeast Region. Carolina leads the Florida Sustainability Services team in developing comprehensive project-specific sustainability goals and targets. In her role, Carolina guides the implementation of these goals through well-refined cost-benefit analyses, using state-of-the-art management programs. In addition, her fluency in Spanish has led the coordination and logistics efforts for the South American projects as well as in leading new businesses in the region.

As, Director of Data Management and Operations Michael manages CodeGreen's team of data analysis experts that provide asset and portfolio performance reporting services to our clients. Prior to joining CodeGreen in 2021, Michael had over ten years of experience managing portfolio decarbonization projects as part of the Energy Services Divisions within Honeywell and Carrier. During those 10 years Michael helped develop and implement over $300M worth of decarbonization work across dozens of customers. With both a technical background and business expertise Michael works with clients to create, implement, and track progress on comprehensive portfolio decarbonization plans. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s of Science in Materials Engineering from the University of Central Florida and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech).

As Associate Director of Design + Construction services, Bryan leads CodeGreen’s team of experts helping owners to realize high-performing spaces and delivering efficiency, resiliency, environmental stewardship, and human health and wellbeing. Bryan’s architectural background and over 7 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry enable him to provide strategic, tailored insights across a spectrum of project types including office, luxury retail, senior living, multi-family, institutional, and master planning. Bryan has facilitated green building certifications for dozens of projects in LEED, WELL, and Fitwel programs. Bryan holds an MS Interior Architecture & Design degree from Drexel University and is a LEED AP.
